COURSE CONTENT:

• Identify ways for you to appropriately and respectfully teach the boundaries of professional relationships
• Define the three elements of informed consent
• Identify your values regarding sexual issues and persons with developmental disabilities
• Respect the sexual rights of people with developmental disabilities
• Protect people with developmental disabilities from sexual abuse or exploitation
• Identify signals of sexual abuse
• Respond promptly and appropriately when confronted with sexual situations
• Uphold CCLS policy on Social Skills, Sexuality and Informed Consent
• Identify community resources for sexual education.
