This course provides an understanding for caregivers behind the behaviors exhibited by adults diagnosed with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). The learner will develop different and more effective techniques for care to improve overall outcomes.

The learner will be able to:

• Realize behaviors are a result of brain damage due to alcohol.
• Understand and recognize common behaviors of FASD.
• Identify patterns of behavior and strategies to improve outcomes.
