This course is an overview of antisocial personality disorders and common symptoms. The caregiver will have a better understanding of managing an adult with personality disorders.

The learner will be able to:

• Define and recognize symptoms of antisocial personality disorders.
• Recognize the causes, risk factors, and complications associated with this mental illness.
• Recognize adults with distorted thinking patterns and the challenges in supporting their behavior.
• Describe how to manage emotional responses in persons with personality disorders.
