This course reviews preventing, protecting, and reporting all incidents of resident abuse, neglect, misappropriation of resident property, and financial exploitation. 

The learner will be able to:

• Define abuse, neglect, misappropriation, injury of unknown sources, and financial exploitation
• Describe what to do if resident abuse, neglect, misappropriation, or financial exploitation is suspected
• Learn who to contact if you suspect financial exploitation, misappropriation, abuse, or neglect of a resident
• Recognize signs of abuse and neglect in adults with developmental disabilities
