Purpose:  Aspen Acres Assisted Living is committed to complying with the provisions contained in Wisconsin Administrative Code DHS 83.  This policy defines and outlines the process that Aspen Acres employees will follow when administering medications for residents.

All persons who administer medications will be trained according to DHS 83 and delegated by licensed practitioner before administering delegated forms of medications. All persons who administer non delegated forms of medications will complete a proficiency check before administering medications. All persons will be trained on Aspen Acres Assisted Living policy for medication administration.
